Aunt Lois was brought into our family by Mabel Fravel (also Fortner and Brooks) Gardner, my grandma, when Aunt Lois married Jack Main, granny's step-brother. Aunt Lois and (Uncle) Jack were at Easter Sunday dinner at Grandma and Papa (James Ray) Gardner's house when my mom was having her labor pains before giving birth to me. Luckily, I did not know that husband of Aunt Lois. I knew Uncle Ray though! They had a fine home in Wichita and I had the privilege of working with Uncle Ray and my Grandpa Jim doing home repairs in Wichita. Aunt Lois got me a job in the NCR factory when I started college. When my mom, Pat Jones (and hubby John Paul) moved to Bella Vista Arkansas, we had the pleasure of visiting Aunt Lois at her home in Niangua. MIssouri plains I saw. She was helping out at the local 'mercantile' shop. Aunt Lois had to stay busy, always a worker and a DIY, do it yourselfer. She was an inspiration to me as a natural lady, close to nature, always close to God. Luckily, I stayed in touch with her by phone and little letters throughout the years. Until her rough month of December 2021, I did not know how important I was to her. Now that she has passed on, I only wish I had done more to be closer to her. She was a jewel, always close to my grand parents and staying in touch with me. Grief has many tidings for us all. Bless you Aunt Lois! You were, and still are, an Inspiration, to say the least! Blessings to Janie and her family too! I know Janie took good care of Aunt Lois for several years, here towards the end, and wrapping up all the (loose) ends now upon her. Aunt Lois was eternally grateful to Janie! And so am I! BLESSINGS and great KINDNESS are a fine trait of this Lebanon family. Again, many tidings for us all! As of yesterday, I believe Aunt Lois has completed her Journey to her Place in Heaven. Some people pass on in groups, and I believe Aunt Lois was in the group with Betty White, another grand Inspiration. May we all be so fortunate. Sending LOVE to all of us, to help ease this ending of a grand life! Pamlin Pegg
