I knew Rita during her time at First United Methodist in Lebanon. She was a bright spot in my days! She was elegant, gracious, and down-to-earth.
Rita and Dale were great examples for my son, Ben Perkins, and they were always so supportive of Ben. She was very proud of her boys and was willing to help me ‘raise’ another young man.
With Dale's failing hearing, Rita stepped up to communicate for both of them. I never saw her lose patience with him. In this way, she was a good example for me of a Godly wife. It was Rita who taught me where Hooker Hollow is, and she was proud to pass on the legacy of the Hooker family.
Rita blessed many lives. I am fortunate to have known her. I am sorry for the loss her family must feel deeply. Blessings to you.
