Alice Tate (Bolivar)

November 1, 1930 - February 10, 2022

Alice Emojene Tate, born November 1, 1930, departed this life to her heavenly home February 10, 2022 after a lengthy illness at Parkview Residential Center. Born to E.D. (Doc) Greer and Hazel (Meadors) Greer, Alice was an only child. Raised on the farm in the Huckaby/Urbana area, Alice was saved at an early age at Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church where she remained a member. Alice attended school and graduated from Urbana, MO. In this area is where she met her husband of 72 years, Marvin (Gene) Tate. To this union two sons were born, Gary Tate and Jimmy Tate of Bolivar, MO. Alice loved the outdoors, enjoying gardening, fishing, and garage sales. She also loved collecting dolls, dishes, and cookbooks. Alice was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Gary Tate. Alice is survived by her loving husband Gene Tate of Bolivar, MO; one son Jimmy Tate and wife Tammie of Bolivar, MO; a grandson, Isacc Tate and wife Crissy of Springfield, MO; a granddaughter, Missy Smith and husband Emmett of Wheatland MO; and two great-grandsons, Kody and Colton. Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, February 14, 2022 at he Hope Well Cemetery near Urbana.
