Bobbie "Bob" Witt (Buffalo) Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Bobbie “Bob” Dick Witt, son of Alvy Lin and Irene Emma (Carey) Witt, was born on April 12, 1947, in Palisade, Nebraska and departed this life the morning of Friday, August 5, 2022, at the Jacobs Ladder Hospice Facility in Springfield, Missouri. He was at the time of his passing 75 years, three months, and 24 days of age. During his early life in Nebraska, and being raised with 10 other siblings, Bob learned the meaning of hard work and how to earn everything you got. He later spent the majority of his adult life in the trucking industry. He was married to his wife, Janis (Downing) Witt on November 23, 2009, in Buffalo, Missouri. Bob was an avid collector of anything and everything. A phrase used to describe his collecting habits was, “If one was good, 12 was better.” His famous saying of, “Imma Gonna” was well known to those around him. He also loved to tinker with things on his property. Along with his hobbies and habits came a generous heart. He would give anyone the shirt off of his back, or maybe 12 of them. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Louise and Lucinda Lee; and three brothers, Raymond Lin, Nathan Leon, and Billie Dean Witt. He is survived by his wife, Janis Witt; two daughters, Renae Mauser and Jennifer Auman; two sons, Roy Witt and Joe Witt; one step-daughter, Melody Braaten; two sisters, Bernice Alberta, and Carol Lavon; three brothers, Jimmie James, Clinton Eugene, and Michael Semour; 19 grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and many other family and friends. Bob is loved and will be missed dearly by all who knew him. Graveside services for Bob will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery located at 5201 S. Southwood Rd. Springfield, Missouri 65804. Bro.
