Cathy Jane Hill (Buffalo)

October 22, 1958 - March 1, 2022

Cathy Jane (Vandenburg) Hill, daughter of the late Edward Homer and Anne (Smith) Vandenburg, was born on October 22, 1958 in Kansas City, Kansas and departed this life on March 1, 2022 in Springfield, MO. At the time of her passing she was 63 years, four months, and eight days of age. Cathy was raised in Sugar Creek and Tunas, MO. She graduated from Skyline High School and worked for Teters Flowers in Bolivar, MO for a few years. She went to nursing school and after graduating began her career as an RN at Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar, MO. Cathy enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also loved her horses, animals, and her plants. Cathy was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Bradley Vandenburg. She is survived by her three sons, Richard and wife Juliet Hill of Suffolk, VA, Andrew Hill of Buffalo, MO, and Matthew and wife Farrah Hill of Halfway, MO; her sister, Becky Vanderhoof, five grandchildren, Morgan Hill, Brianna Hill, Tyler Hill, Jacob Hill, and Avery Hill; and her stepmother, Jeanine Vandenburg. She also leaves other family members and many friends who will all truly miss her. Visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Friday in the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home in Buffalo. Cremation rites were accorded under the care and direction of the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo.
