Chester Dame (Buffalo)

September 7, 1948 - May 6, 2022

Chester Bertrum Dame was born September 7, 1948 to Chester Earl & Retha Hester (Hicks) Dame in Spring Hollow Township, Laclede County, Missouri and passed away May 6, 2022 at home in his sleep in Buffalo, Missouri. Chester was one of 13 children. He graduated from Conway High school in 1967. After graduation he served in the US Army during the Vietnam Conflict where he was awarded medals in Sharp Shooting-Rifle M-16 and National Defense Service. Chester worked in many construction jobs throughout his life including roofing and cement. He also worked for BeechCraft/Raytheon Aircraft. Chester had many hobbies including hunting, fishing, restoring older cars and working on dirt track race cars. Chester was a beloved father, grandpa, son, brother, cousin, uncle, and friend. Chester was preceded in death by his parents Chester & Retha Dame, brothers; Burl, Jerry, John, and Donald Dame and Tommy Sanderson, and a son, Mark D LaGree. He is survived by his children; Melissa F. Dame, Jeffrey J. Dame and Summer S. Dame, grandchildren; Quentin M. Dame, Breanna N. Dame, Ashtynn R. Dame and Kylee R. (Dame) Wilson, siblings; Gerald Dame and wife Shirley, Vivian Fletcher, David Dame and wife Cornelia, Gary Dame and wife Sherry, Delbert Dame and wife Paula, Vera Cline and husband Eddie, Verna Armknect and significant other Gary Lucky, and Danny Dame, and other family and friends who will truly miss him. Funeral services for Chester will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 14, 2022 in the Cantlon- Otterness & Viets Funeral Home in Buffalo, Missouri with burial to follow in the Flatwoods Cemetery under the direction of the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo, Missouri Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 13, 2022 in the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Chapel.
