Donald Wayne Redman (Bolivar)

September 9, 1940 - February 22, 2022

Donald Wayne Redman, 81 of Brighton, MO, passed away, Tuesday, February 22, 2022. He was born September 9, 1940, to Ralph and Opha (Hensley) Redman. He married Shirley McConnell and had three children, Mike, Tike and Terri. Don drove a truck in his younger years then working as a cattleman and horse trader. He built his forever home, a log cabin that was built form numerous cedar trees from his property. He was a hard worker that loved his family, enjoyed horseback riding, wagon rides, and always referred to people as “homer”, Don will be greatly missed by his friends and family. Don is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Fern Carpenter; sons, Mike and Tike, Redman; and a great grandson, Maverick. He is survived by his sister, June (Ron) Stephens; sister, Ann (Joe) Sprague; brother, Jim (Liz) Redman; brother-in-law, Bub Carpenter; daughter, Terri (Randy) McGuire; grandchildren, Ashley (Shelby) Raney, Charlie Lemke, Jay (Melissa) Redman, Andy (Ariel) Anderson, Courtney (Tim) Masson; great grandchildren, Korbyn, Kohyn, Cylus, Lily, Charles, Catherine, Charley, Clarke, Oliver, and Audrey; numerous nieces, nephews, and other family and friends. Visitation will be held 1:00 PM – 03:00 PM Sunday, February 27, 2022, at the Butler Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held, 11:00 AM Monday, February 28, 2022, at the funeral home.
