Matilda Florence (Muti) Strickland was born February 25, 1926 to Carmino F. and Carmella (Scanga) Muti and passed away February 16, 2022 at age of 95 years old. Matilda married William T Strickland on June 22, 1957 in Bethesda, Maryland and to this union one son was born. She has been a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church since 2005. She retired as a Civil Service Worker as a Stenographer in 1982. Matilda’s Father remarried after his wife passed away, and than he remarried Mary Teresa C. Muti. Matilda is preceded in death by her parents: Carmino F. and Carmella A. Muti; her husband: William T. Strickland; one son: Douglas P. Strickland; two brothers: Louis A. Muti and Santo F. Muti; and two sisters Helen M. Lomika and Rose M. Clark. She is survived by two brothers-in-law: Roy Lomika of Rochester, NY and Warren Martin Clark of Sewickley, PA; and a sister-in-law: Mary Lou Bollinger of Renfrew PA. and survived by many nieces and nephews all the way through to great-great-great nieces and nephews, and a host of many family and friends that will greatly miss her. Funeral Services for Matilda will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 21, 2022 in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Springfield, Missouri under the direction of the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo, Missouri.
