Michael Brown (Buffalo)

July 10, 1955 - April 1, 2022

Michael Brown was born in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas on July 10, 1955 and left this world on April 1, 2022. He was proceeded in death by his mother Carol Dildine, stepfather Harvey Dildine, sister Kris Niccoli, brother Stanley Skidmore and grandson Alex Barton. He is survived by his sister Joelynn Garcia-Hurtado and husband Butch; children: Angie Palmerin, Heather Brown, Megan Potts and husband Mark; grandchildren: Mathew Macha, Demeter Williams, Joshua Macha, Connor Yugmang, Landon Brown and Grayson Potts; nephews: John Garcia, Jason Garcia, Tony Niccoli and wife Jessica. Several great nieces and nephews as well as loving cousins and family by choice not by blood. Michael served in the Navy and was a Vietnam War Era Veteran. His military service was one of the proudest times of his life. Michael spent the majority working life after the Navy in the hotel industry working front desk then as management and finally as owner operator of a small motel on Lake Pomme De Terre. The knee injury that ended his Navy service ultimately ended his ability to work and he was forced to retire. Michael had a love of eagles and the symbol that they held for our country. He was a true patriot to the core and proudly flew the flag at his home as well as the motorized scooter he used in the later part of his life. A celebration of his life will be held at the DAV Hall in Buffalo, MO at Noon with a family graveside service in the summer. Cremation rites were accorded under the care and direction of the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo.
