Nancy Sue Kirk (Buffalo)

Nancy Sue (Pettibon) Kirk, daughter of Warren Eugene and Jessie Isabelle (Wealot) Pettibon, was born on January 28, 1945, in Deerfield, Missouri and departed this life on Thursday, February 24, 2022, at her home in Tunas, Missouri. She was at the time of her passing 77 years and 27 days of age. Nancy loved her family and enjoyed the gatherings they would have. She also loved flowers. She enjoyed looking at them and choosing which ones to pick. Her favorite type of flower was a rose called, “Joseph’s Coat.” She also enjoyed birdwatching (especially hummingbirds) and fishing. She was a baker at a local grocery store before she started working at her antique shop. She would eventually retire from General Motors. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Leonard Pettibon. She is survived by her husband, Haskell Kirk of the home; a daughter, Helena Martin of Flemington, Missouri; four sons, William Pettibon of Urbana, Missouri, Jesse Pettibon of Paola, Kansas, James Kirk of Tunas, Missouri, and Brian Kirk of Tunas, Missouri. A memorial service for Nancy will be held by the family at later date. Cremation rites are being accorded by the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo, Missouri.
