Robert “Bob” Luther Roberts, 85, passed away on February 6, 2022, at Citizens Memorial Healthcare Facility in Bolivar, Missouri. He was the husband of Norma Faye (Bettes) Roberts. They shared 28 years of marriage together. Bob was born in Humansville, Missouri, on September 20, 1936, to Luther and Opal Roberts. He graduated from Bolivar High School and was a rancher all his life. He was a member of Grace Fellowship Baptist Church and the Cattleman’s Association. Bob served in the National Guard for seven years, and he spoke often about how good his sergeant, Ralph Manley, was. He enjoyed racehorses, cattle auctions, and conversing with his friends at the coffee shop. Bob was preceded in death by his mother and father. He is survived by his wife, Norma, children Rory (Judi), Eric (Patty), Norman (Michelle) and their mother Eleanor Hickey; brother Joe (Rosemary); Norma’s children Randy Bettes (Jo), Steve Bettes (Jan), and Kathy (Chuck) Jolin, and grandchildren Danielle, Rebecca, Ryan, Joshua (Kimmy), Jason, Branden (Hillary), Michael (Abby), Logan, Erica, Max, Stacy (Andy) Williams, Scott (Lindsey) Bettes, Shane (Shannon) Bettes, Adam (Destany) Bettes, Jennifer (Travis) Ewing, Gregg North, plus 19 great-grandchildren. Bob also leaves behind nephews Jeff (Lori) and Matt (Meredith), and niece Mary Cook (Todd). Services for Robert will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, February 10, 2022, at the Butler Funeral Home of Bolivar. Visitation will be one hour prior to services form 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bolivar High School FFA.
