On Friday, June 18, 2021, Susan (Sue) Marie McClain, loving wife and mother of five children, passed away at the age of 66. She was surrounded by her loving family. Sue was born on March 11, 1955, in Lansing, MI to Freda Lee Frazier and John Walter Hamilton. On June 3, 1994, she married Henry Charles McClain and they celebrated 25 years of marriage until his death in 2018. Sue studied Criminal Justice and retired from the Missouri Department of Corrections. She raised two sons, Rex and Chad, and three daughters, Lindsey, Heather, and Nichole. Sue was preceded in death by her father, Walter Hamilton; her mother, Freda Brooks; and her husband, Henry McClain. She is survived by two sons, Rex Pierce & wife Brandee and Chad Pierce & wife Barbie; three daughters, Lindsey Pierce, Heather Sheehan & husband Chad, and Nichole Gardner & husband Justin; her grandchildren, Britany Pierce, Austin Pierce, Jerry Sheehan, Breanna Pierce, Hannah Busker, Colby Sheehan, Raquel Pierce, Zackary Pierce, Audrey Sheehan, Madison Gardner, Lillian Self, and Gavin McClain; and one great-granddaughter, Aleia Handlon. Sue was most known for her sense of humor and her laugh was contagious. She was a loving wife to her late husband Henry. She cherished time with her family and carried the title of Mee-maw proudly. She was deeply engaged in charity and donations. She was a wonderful mother and friend and will be deeply missed by many. A private Memorial Service will be held in Tebbetts, MO on July 3, 2021.
