Suzanne Liepert (Bolivar)

July 28, 1934 - January 16, 2022

Suzanne L. Liepert, 87 of Dunnegan, MO passed away Sunday, January 16, 2022 at Lake Stockton Health Care Facility. Suzanne was born July 28, 1934, in Milwaukee, WI to Joseph Henry and Lucy Ann Schiller. She graduated from Stephenson High School in Stephenson, MI, in 1952. After High School she married Allen Joseph Mahlberg and had four children, David, Dale, Deanna, and Dawn. She later married Eugene Paul Liepert. Suzanne worked as a waitress for George Webb restaurant and Gene hauled trash. The couple decided to leave their currents careers and take a shot at farming. The couple began farm life on a farm in Fair Child, WI, before moving to a farm in Dunnegan, MO in 1977, where the couple stayed. Suzanne loved farming, she loved being on a tractor, putting up hay and caring for bottle calves. When she wasn’t busy on the farm, she loved growing vegetables in her garden and working in her flower beds. Suzanne is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eugene; son, Dale Mahlberg; sisters, Marilu Joslin and Janice Kakuk; brother, Joseph Hornik. She is survived by her son, David Mahlberg, and his companion, Christine Smith; daughters, Deanna Cotton (Bruce) and Dawn Covert (Wayne); brother, Donald Hornik; nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Services for Suzanne will be held 10:00 AM Thursday, January 20, 2022, at the Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar, MO. Visitation will be held 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Wednesday January 19, 2022, at the Funeral Home. Burial will take place in the Plum Grove Cemetery in Dunnegan, MO.
