October 1, 1972 - July 8, 2021
Tia VaChanda Miller-Galloway, daughter of Theodore Oscar Miller, Sr. and daughter of Patricia Ann Miller, wife of David Erwin Galloway, Jr., and mother of Brennan Frazier, Lauren Miller Davis, Daniel Galloway, Devin Galloway, Andrea Galloway, David Galloway III, and Darian Galloway, was born on October 1, 1972, in Washington D.C. She fulfilled her journey in this present life on Thursday, July 8, 2021, in Bolivar, MO, at the age of 48 years old. Tia united in marriage to her one true love, David Galloway Jr., on December 2, 1995, in Independence, MO. Their union blessed them with seven children, all of which are named above. Tia is survived by her parents, Theodore Miller and Patricia Miller of Grandview MO, loving husband of 25 years, David Galloway Jr, 7 children, Brennan and his wife Cecille of Fall Creek, Oregon, Lauren Davis and her husband Jedacia of Springfield MO, Daniel and his wife Chelcie of Ft Bragg, NC, Devin and his wife Dakota of Bolivar, MO, Andrea Galloway of Bolivar, MO, David Galloway III of Bolivar, MO, and Darian Galloway of Bolivar, MO, 5 grandchildren, Azazel, Cade, Emmett, Olivia, and Evelynn; 2 brothers Theodore Miller Jr of Wyandotte, KS; Terrance Hamilton of Bolivar, MO; 2 sisters, Twanna Hamilton of Bolivar, MO, and Deirdre Johnson of Dallas, TX; and number of Aunts and Uncles, cousins, as well as a host of other family members and many friends. Tia was a happy and loving child, raised in a military family with 4 of her siblings. During her teenage years she spent her days listening to music, especially The Red Hot Chili Peppers, her favorite band in the world. Tia always shared her love of music with her family and felt like she was able to communicate her real feelings to the ones she loved through songs. Tia's purpose in life was her family. She was born to be the perfect wife and greatest mother. Tia had a unique and special relationship with all of her children, a true bond that cannot be put into words. She strived to be the best mother in the world and was undeniably proud of each of her children. Tia also had an indescribable intense love for her husband, David Galloway Jr, her "babe" as she would call him. The two of them met at a very young age and fell in love at first sight. David treated Tia like the Queen that she was, granting her whatever her heart desired without a bit of hesitation. Tia was one of the proudest grandparents as well, having 5 beautiful grandchildren, as well as a set of identical twins that will be born later this year. Tia's grandbabies know her as Mamaw, a title that will live on through them. Tia was a fun and spontaneous person. She lived to sing, dance, laugh, tell funny jokes, and smile. Tia's smile can only be described as angelic, dreamy, and magical. She's always had a sparkle in her eyes. Tia loved to talk and loved to listen to everybody. She spoke to her children on the phone and in person every single day. Tia deeply cared for her children and was always there to support them through their day to day struggles that everyone faces in life. Tia was a Lupus Warrior. She did so much research on lupus and was passionate about lupus awareness. She loved the color purple and butterflies, as the color purple and the butterfly are the Lupus Awareness symbol. She also adored turtles, the color green, fairies, all types of shows and movies that involved vampires, reality TV, Hello Kitty, and every present that her children ever gave to her. Tia and David loved to travel together and lived to take pictures with each other together. They also enjoyed staying at home with good food and a good movie. Their love will continue to be unbreakable. This love was felt by everybody who had the privilege to be a part of her life. Tia struggled with her health in unimaginable ways for more than 15 years. She continued to fight against her body for her family, and did it with a smile that would light up the room. Tia always thought about others before she ever thought about herself. She made huge sacrifices each and every day, and was always there for the ones who needed their love. Her presence had a long lasting effect on those she encountered through her life. Tia can be likened to a beautiful butterfly. The life of a butterfly is very short. They only have one lover in their lifetime. They are a symbol of hope, for endurance, and for endless joy. These qualities are all the same qualities that she displayed in her everyday life despite her continued diminishing health problems. Tia's life is a life of celebration. Those who knew her will be forever changed, but the love that she gave to this world will never fade. Just like the sunshine we feel, she touched so many lives then, and that love will continue forever. Her memory will remain in each of our minds and hearts, and we continue to celebrate her life now, and in the future. Services for Tia will be at 3:00 PM, Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar.
