I am deeply saddened to learn of Bill's passing. I know also that he is as rest and peace with his heavenly father. Yvonne, Lance, Leah and all the rest of the family I want you to know that you are thoughts and in my prayers and pray for peace to each of you. The wonderful memories that each of you have will live on.

I have very fond memories of my Dad, Ervil Austin, taking me to the barber shop with him. I was a preschooler at the time and knew several "Bills" and had solved the problem of keeping them straight by adding a nick name. Off course, he was "Barber Bill". I'm sorry to hear of his passing.
We appreciated Bill and his family and what they meant to us over the years. Bill was a great neighbor and friend. First met Bill as a barber in 1976 and became neighbors in 1978. Bill helped as we built our house next to him and was always there to share his wealth of knowledge. Bill was a great man who was always willing to help anyone in any way that he could. We were blessed to know Bill and his family. May God continue to bless and comfort you during this time.

Bill was a part of my teenage years. Once a month was spent in his barber chair. I am sure he got tired of me telling him what he should and shouldn't do on the school board. He never complained. If anyone wanted to know the local news, just go to the barbershop. With his many customers, there was always something new to discuss. As I said in a recent newspaper column about my memories of him. He was a great guy, beloved by all of us in school in those days. What a positive part he had on the school and community during my teenage years. --He will be missed. Jack Carter.
