Few people know this about Laverne. When Laverne was a young teenager, he was helping his grandfather pick up small bales of hay. As Laverne was placing one of the last bales on the wagon load of hay. His foot got caught under the wagon wheel, he was thrown to the ground, and the wagon load of hay ran over him.
