You may not remember me, but I am the school nurse at Shelbyville... I remember when Joseph first came to school and we visited... He told me he was from "up north" and I think I surprised him by telling him I was too. I don't think he thought there were any other "Yankees" in Shelbyville. We had a good laugh about that and every time he came to my office I'd call him my little yankee boy. His passing was such a great shock and my heart breaks for all his family. I will always remember his sweet little crooked smile and that head full of blond hair... he was really proud of those golden locks... My prayers and love are with you during this very sad time.
