Monnahan, Robert M. Bob, 59 Robert Michael Monnahan, son of Paul Michael and Lola R. Bartholomew Monnahan, was born August 12, 1946, in Oelwein, Iowa. He departed this life Friday, April 14, 2006, in St. John’s Hospital, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of fifty-nine years, eight months, and two days. On May 5, 1989, he was united in marriage to Sharon Kay Appleberry Lewis, and together they shared the last sixteen years. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son-in-law, Chris Braddy; and a brother, Paul Monnahan. Bob is survived by his wife, Sharon, of the home; two sons, Brian Monnahan, and Steven Lewis, and his wife, Carla, all of Lebanon, Missouri; five daughters, Micheala Bradshaw, and her husband, Shawn, Michelle Ivey, and Rhonda Monnahan, all of Lebanon, Missouri, Sondra Braddy, of Springfield, Missouri, and Missy Ryan, of Lebanon, Missouri; a former daughter-in-law, Teresa Monnahan, of Lebanon, Missouri; thirteen grandchildren; four sisters, Margery Dierks, and her husband, Robert, of Grovespring, Missouri, Erma Jean Graf, of Oelwein, Iowa, Marilyn Voorhies, and her husband, Terry, of Odessa, Texas, and Donna Monnahan, of Bloomfield, New Mexico; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. He was born in Iowa and was raised in the Lebanon community, where he graduated from Lebanon High School. He then made his home in the Lebanon area for most of his life. Throughout the years, he worked as a heavy equipment operator and was currently employed by Bo Eilenstine Excavating. Bob had made his profession of belief in Christ and followed the Free Will Baptist faith. In his spare time he enjoyed going to tractor pulls, watching his son race, and playing with his grandchildren. His family was very important to him and he was especially proud of his children and grandchildren. Bob was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he made for his family and friends. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 18, 2006, in the Holman-Howe Chapel, Lebanon. Burial will be in the Old Bolles Cemetery, near Lebanon. Visitation will be held Monday evening from 7 - 8:30 p.m. under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, Missouri.
