A.C. Brockman (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Aubrey Charles “A.C.” Brockman, son of Aubrey Curtis “A.C.” and Hattie Hartsell Brockman, was born November 5, 1936, in Lebanon, Missouri. He departed this life Wednesday, November 2, 2022, in Mercy Hospital, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of eighty-five years, eleven months, and twenty-seven days.
On July 15, 1956, he was united in marriage to Glenda S. Simpson, and to this union two daughters and one son were born.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a half-brother, Curtis P. Brockman; a niece, Debra Brockman; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Owen and Lucille Simpson.
A.C. is survived by his loving wife of sixty-six years, Glenda, of the home; two daughters, Becky Yotter, and her husband, Terry, of Greenwood, Missouri, and Beth Coalson, and her husband, James, of Bella Vista, Arkansas; a son, James Brockman, and his wife, Kathy, of Lebanon, Missouri; six grandchildren, Ryan Yotter, Cody Brockman, Erik Yotter, Austin Yotter, Ashley Coalson, and Jamie Coalson Denison; six great-grandchildren, Arden Yotter, Benson Yotter, Callum Yotter, Oliver Yotter, Hailey Yotter, and Parker Brockman; a special nephew who A.C. and Glenda raised as their son, Michael Curtis Brockman, and his three sons, Ross, Matt, and Austin Brockman; several other nieces and nephews; many other relatives; a number of brothers and sisters in Christ; as well as a host of friends.
He was raised near Lebanon and graduated from Lebanon High School. After he and Glenda were married, they made their home in the Lebanon area and lovingly raised their family. A.C. worked for Consumers Market for a time and then started a career in farm equipment. He owned and operated Lebanon Farm Equipment along with his partner and friend, Lenvil Mooney, from 1968 until 1995. They were also affiliated with the Ford Case International Harvester company. He and Glenda also owned and operated the Dutch Maid Laundry in Lebanon for a number of years. He always had a farm and greatly enjoyed the farm equipment business.
A.C. was baptized by Johnny Elmore. He was a longtime, faithful member of the Church of Christ and was a part of the Hayes Street Church of Christ for many years. He taught lessons and was involved in mission work
He was a man of impeccable character and always did the right thing. His family was very important to him and he especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A.C. was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and was a kind and caring friend. We celebrate his life and know that his family and friends will hold to the wonderful memories of him during his eighty-five years.
