A. Imogene Lynch (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Anna Imogene Lindsay Lynch, daughter of Robert Arch and Liza Gourley Moore, was born May 7, 1932, near Orla, Missouri. She departed this life Tuesday, November 25, 2014, in Mercy Hospital, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of eighty-two years, six months, and eighteen days.
On July 10, 1947, she was united in marriage to Oral Ivan Lindsay, and to this union five daughters and five sons were born. Ivan passed away on February 15, 1993.
In 2001, Imogene married James William Lynch, and they shared thirteen years, before his passing on May 5, 2014.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Herman and Earnest Moore, and an infant, Wilford Moore; and three sisters, Velma Barker, Roberta Weaver, and Audrey Johnson.
Imogene is survived by five daughters, Darlene Thomas, and her husband, Dennis, of Lebanon, Missouri, Linda Daniels, and her husband, Donnie, of Osawatomie, Kansas, Anna Burns, and her husband, Leon, of Roach, Missouri, Kathy Parker, of Kansas City, Kansas, and Cindy Bishop, and her husband, David, of Louisburg, Kansas; five sons, Jerry Lindsay, and his wife, Marsha, of Buffalo, Missouri, Oral Lindsay, and his wife, Carol, Larry Lindsay, and his wife, Delta, all of Conway, Missouri, Gary Lindsay, and his wife, Donna, of Kansas City, Kansas, and Terry Lindsay, and his wife, Patti, of Buffalo, Missouri; thirty-four grandchildren; sixty great-grandchildren; fourteen great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Loraine Moore, and his wife, Margie, of Grovespring, Missouri, and Charles Moore, of Phillipsburg, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born near Orla and was raised in the Grovespring, Missouri community. After she and Ivan were married, they made their home in Kansas City, Kansas, and lovingly raised their children. Throughout the years, Imogene was a devoted homemaker to her husband and family. After retiring, Imogene and Ivan moved to Conway, Missouri and made their home. She and James also made their home in Conway after they were married.
Imogene had professed her faith in Christ and became a member of the Conway Church of Christ about nine years ago.
In her spare time she liked listening to country music, playing bingo and the lottery, and going to casinos. She centered her life around her family which she loved dearly, and also helped raise several other children through the years.
Imogene was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during her eighty-two years.
