Acey Denny (Camdenton)'s Obituary
Acey Lea Denny, daughter of Acel and Edith Breedlove Looney, was born, March 23, 1935 in Camdenton, Missouri. She departed this life, Thursday, January 29, 2015, in Jordan Creek Nursing and Rehab, Springfield, Missouri at the age of seventy-nine years, ten months and six days.
She was united in marriage to her first husband, Johnny Denny and he passed away. On March 25, 1954 in Camdenton, Missouri she was united in marriage to Jessie Lee Denny. Together they shared sixty years of marriage.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Patricia Denny; seven brothers, three sisters and two grandchildren, Stevie and Buddy Denny.
Survivors include her husband, Jessie Denny; three children, Karen Beasley of Lebanon, Missouri, Steve Denny and wife Vicky of Afton, Oklahoma and Larry Denny and wife Donna of Lebanon, Missouri; seven grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; a brother, Mark Looney of Sedro-Woolley, Washington; a sister, Annie Flesburg of East Peoria, Illinois; a sister-in-law, Mary Looney of Colorado Springs, Colorado and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Acey was a life-long resident of Camdenton.
She worked in the cafeteria at Camdenton Schools and cleaned houses. She was a hard worker and co-workers and employees all loved her.
Acey made a profession of faith and was a member of Webster Grove Missionary Baptist Church. In her spare time, she loved times spent outside working in her flower gardens and vegetable garden. The joy of her life was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved them with a passion. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and a caring neighbor and friend. Her memory will linger on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
