Ada Knoll's Obituary
Ada Louise Knoll, daughter of Frank and Ada Ackerson Niemeyer, was born March 30, 1925, in St. Louis, Missouri. She departed this life Monday, June 8, 2009, in Laurie Care Center, Laurie, Missouri, at the age of eighty-four years, two months and nine days. On May 1, 1943, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, she was united in marriage to Joseph Henry Knoll and to this union three children were born. Together they shared the past sixty-six years. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Judith Marie Knoll Bell and a sister, Catherine Todell Reeder. Survivors include her loving husband, Joseph Knoll of Laurie, Missouri; a son, John Knoll and wife Diane of Roach, Missouri; a daughter, Jeanne Niehaus and husband Vincent of Washington, Missouri; six grandchildren, Anna Marie Leezer and husband Dan of Camdenton, Missouri, John Scott Knoll and wife Tamara of Linn Creek, Missouri, Jennifer Fischer and husband Chris of Union, Missouri, Christopher Niehaus and fiancé Stacy Hall of Eureka, Missouri, Thomas Bell and wife Donna of Linn Creek, Missouri and Todd Bell and wife Katie of Texas; seven great-grandchildren, Stacey Leezer Phelps, Erin Leezer, Nicholas Bell, Jeremy Bell, Brandy Ferguson, Toni Sohm and Tommy and four great-great-grandchildren, Logan and Addie Phelps and Kobe and Dillon Sohm and a host of other relatives and many friends. Ada was raised and lived most of her life in the St. Louis area. She worked early on in a small grocery store. She later became a bank teller and worked for many years for the St. John’s Community Bank in St. John, Missouri. She and Joe retired to the Lake of the Ozarks in 1994. Ada was baptized into the Catholic Church and was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Camdenton, Missouri. She was faithful in the church as a communion server to those in the hospital and nursing homes. In her spare time, she enjoyed bowling and playing Bunko, Bingo and Pokeno. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and a caring neighbor and friend. She made an impact on many lives and her memory and legacy will carry on through her loving family. Services will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday June 11,2009 at the Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral home in Camdenton. Burial will be in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am until time of service under the direction of the Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home Camdenton, Missouri. A memorial has been established to the Susan G.
