Adaline Sharp's Obituary
Adaline Leona Sharp, daughter of Frank Albert and Caroline Leona “Carrie” Mark Sellon was born December 19, 1922 in Lexington, Missouri. She departed this life Saturday, April 26, 2008 in Windsor Estates, Camdenton, Missouri at the age of eighty-five years, four months and seven days. On September 28, 1944 in Kansas City, Kansas, she was united in marriage to Clifford Eugene “Gene” Sharp and to this union two children were born. Together they shared forty-six years until his passing on June 29, 1991. She was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, William “Bill” Zeller; a sister, Dorothy DeMint; and a nephew, Dennis DeMint. Survivors include her children, Darlene Sharp Zeller and Russell “Sparky” Sharp and his wife, Marsha, all of Camdenton, Missouri; a brother-in-law, Allen L. DeMint of Camdenton, Missouri; her loving grandchildren, Gregory Love and his wife, Stephanie, of Goshen, Indiana, Kemberely Duran and her husband, David, and Tracy Eichler and her husband, Todd, all of Camdenton, Missouri, Brandon Sharp and his wife, Rhiana, of Fenton, Missouri, and Nathan Sharp of Colorado Springs, Colorado; six great-grandchildren; and a host of other family members and many special friends. She was raised in Lexington, Missouri and graduated from High School there. She and Gene made their home in Lexington where they lovingly raised their children. She was a homemaker and help-mate to her husband. In 1972, they moved to Osage Beach, Missouri. For the past few years, Adaline has made her home at Camden Manor and Windsor Estates in Camdenton, Missouri, where she had many good times and made many special friends. She made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Camdenton. She had been a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary, the Moose Lodge and the Elks Lodge, all in Lexington. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing Bingo, playing cards and doing crafts. Adaline was a loving mother, grandmother and aunt and was a caring neighbor and friend. We will treasure the memories she created in our hearts and will miss her dearly. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, 2008, in Lexington Memory Gardens, Lexington, Missouri. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 6 - 8:00 p.m. in the Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton Missouri.
