Agnes A. Swartwood (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Agnes Adeline Swartwood, age 89 of Fair Play, MO passed away 1:05 PM Friday, November 12, 2010 at the Citizens Memorial Healthcare Facility in Bolivar after a brief illness.
She was born on October 25, 1921 in Dunnegan, MO the daughter of Robert Clay Wollard and Dora Mae (Campbell) Wollard.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bert Swartwood in 1983, brothers, Clarence Wollard and Hollis Wollard and her sister Mae Capper.
Agnes operated the telephone switchboard at Dunnegan and then worked at the Dunnegan M.F.A. She retired from Woods Supermarket after many years as a checker.
She enjoyed traveling to California and to the music shows at Branson. One of her favorite things was visiting with friends and family.
Agnes is survived by nieces Bonnie Banton of Spring, TX; Sheri Wollard of Ventura, CA; Dorothy Morton of Springfield, MO; nephews Bob Wollard of Walnut Grove, MO and Wayne Wollard of Monroe, WA.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 3:30 Monday at the Dunnegan Cemetery.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 15, 2010 at 3:30 PM in the Dunnegan Cemetery at Dunnegan, MO with Rev. David Stunkel officiating. Music will be "Precious Memories" by Ron & Barbara George with arrangements under the care and direction of the Butler Funeral Home of Bolivar.
