Agnes H. Eddy (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Agnes Harriett Eddy was born May 20, 1937, in South Beloit, Illinois to Edward Lyle Madru and Agnes Toner Madru. She passed away Thursday, April 9, 2026 in Lebanon, Missouri at the age of eighty-eight years, ten months and twenty days.
Agnes was raised in South Beloit, Illinois and married Llewellyn James Eddy, on November 23, 1955. Agnes became a devoted housewife and loving mother.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Llewellyn Eddy; her parents, Edward and Agnes Madru; her son, Kevin Eddy; and her grandson, Brian McMullin.
Agnes is survived by two daughters, Louise Barlass and her husband Michael and Denise DePaola and her husband Steve; her grandchildren, Jeremiah Eddy, Matthew McMullin and his wife Jenni, Annalora Cantwell and her husband Alex, Kristi Elrod and her husband Durtin, Mary DePaola and her husband Travis, Todd Barlass and his wife Julie, Jim Barlass and wife Doreen and Sarah Delcour and her husband Wyatt; her great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Mitchell, Marissa Morgan, Jack McMullin, Luke McMullin, Brian Gallagher, Jack Cantwell, Isabell Cantwell, Emery Ellrod, Caden Ellrod, Kyler Strickland, Tate Strickland, Andrew Barlass, Austin Barlass, Cameron Barlass, Carley Barlass, Allysa Barlass, Jameson Barlass and Whaylan Delcour; and two great-great-grandchildren, Hadley Barlass and Henry Mott.
Agnes was employed a few places throughout her life, but she ultimately treasured her time being at home.
She was a member at Lebanon Family Church. She attended Bible College and in 1974 began a ministry with the youth. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Agnes enjoyed hunting and fishing and collecting baseball cards. She liked playing Cribbage and travelling.
We remember and honor the life of a devoted wife, beloved mother, and cherished grandmother, whose love, faith, and kindness touched everyone who knew her. A faithful believer in God, she lived her life with grace and purpose, serving her church and guiding young hearts. She will be missed by those who knew and loved her.
A visitation will be held for Agnes Eddy on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 from 4 - 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
A memorial to Lebanon Family Church or Integrity Hospice has been established and donations may be left at the funeral home.
