On April 4, 1961, he was united in marriage to Wilma Marie Porter and this union was blessed with five daughters and four sons.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Wilma, on July 2, 2015; and a sister, Georgia Stewart.
Albert is survived by five daughters, Tracie Knapp, and her husband, Joe, of Phillipsburg, Missouri, Edith Pearcy, and her husband, Brent, Margaret Harrison, and her husband, Bob, Melanie Cole, and her husband, Jamie, and Melba Case, and her husband, Carl, all of Lebanon, Missouri; four sons, Bradley Bowling, and his wife, Annmarie, Eddie Bowling, and his wife, Pam, Wayne Bowling, and his wife, Felicia, and Chris Bowling, all of Lebanon, Missouri; thirty grandchildren; thirty-nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Earl Bowling, and his wife, Peggy, of Lebanon, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born and raised in the Lebanon community, and then worked for a short time as a farm hand in Iowa. He returned to Lebanon and began working for Appleby Boats. After he and Wilma were married, they made their home near Lebanon, and lovingly raised their family. He later was employed by Bass Tracker for a number of years. He had worked for the City of Lebanon Maintenance Department for the last ten years.
Albert preferred the Pentecostal faith and had established his own personal relationship with his Lord and Savior.
In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, hunting, raising rabbits and pigeons, and doing some farming and gardening. He was always strong but possessed a quiet, inner strength. He believed in complimenting his children regularly and his favorite saying was, “Goodie, Goodie, Goodie”. His friends and family spoke highly of him and he enjoyed spending time on the porch visiting with his family and neighbors. He loved his family dearly and referred to his “girls” as “Baby Blue Eyes”.
Albert was a loving husband, dad, grandpa, great-grandpa, brother, uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and all that he accomplished and know that his family and friends will treasure the wonderful memories he made for them during his eighty-two years.
