Albert K Baughman (Camdenton)'s Obituary
Albert Keith Baughman, son of Arthur Paul and Mayme Ethel Shockley Baughman, was born September 25, 1925, in Segrada, Missouri. He departed this life Tuesday, July 27, 2010, in Lake Regional Health Systems, Osage Beach, Missouri, at the age of eighty-four years, ten months, and two days.
On March 27, 1948, in Camdenton, Missouri, Albert was united in marriage to Ethel Bernice Moulder and together they have shared sixty-two wonderful years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two children, Sarah Jean and Timothy Philip Baughman; as well as two brothers, Jackie Cole and Hal Baughman.
Albert is survived by his wife, Ethel, of the home; four children, E. Marie Gasau and her husband, Jerry, of Carbondale, Colorado, Susan Friend and her husband, Jim, of Lenexa, Kansas, Pat Baughman and his wife, Emelise, of Chapman, Nebraska, and Melinda Esparrago and her husband, Tony, of Overland Park, Kansas; eight grandchildren, Jacob Gasau and his wife, Kelly, Aaron Gasau, Jared Friend and his wife, Jenny, Hillary Friend, Rebecca Baughman, Amanda and Allison Baughman, and Dominick Esparrago; three great-grandchildren and one due in November; a sister, Juan Mauss and her husband, Dean, of Climax Springs, Missouri; several nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and many dear friends.
Albert was born in Segrada and moved to Climax Springs with his family at a very early age. After graduating from Climax Springs High School, Albert entered into the United States Navy and served his country proudly during World War II.
After the war, Albert returned to Climax Springs where he met and married Ethel. He also served as Postmaster for several years. He and Ethel moved to Kansas City in the early fifties where he worked various jobs before going to work for Allied Signal/Bendix, retiring in 1992. While living in Kansas City, Albert was a member of local lodge I.A.M. & A.W.L.L. 314. After retiring, Albert and Ethel moved back to Climax Springs and lived a quiet life on their farm.
Albert loved to go fishing and in his spare time enjoyed gardening and watching the deer on his farm. He treasured the time spent with his loving wife, Ethel, and enjoyed visits from his children and grandchildren.
Albert was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and accomplishments and will treasure the wonderful memories he has created for his family and many dear friend.
