Alberta B. Lovelace (Hartville)'s Obituary
Alberta Bernice Lovelace was born November 4, 1932, in Chicago, Illinois, and departed this earthly life on Friday, June 12, 2015, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. Alberta was eighty-two years, six months and twenty-nine days of age at the time of her passing.
Alberta came to Hartville, Missouri, at the age of nine. She graduated from high school and went to Denver, Colorado to work at Baucus Restaurant until 1971 when she returned to Hartville to spend the rest of her years in the area. She worked as a seamstress for fifteen years at H.D. Lee Company in Hartville, and then spent several years as a home healthcare worker. Alberta truly enjoyed caring for seniors and the elderly and found it rewarding that she could give back to them.
She was an avid gardener and liked to can. She also loved to cook, and was very good at it.
Alberta attended Hilltop Church for many years, then Sunshine Church, and finally Green Valley Church in her later years, as it was close to home and her health began to fail.
In addition to her parents, Alberta was preceded in death by her sister, Louise Cain; her stepfather, John Page; and her dear aunt, Billie Page.
She leaves behind her two daughters, Roberta Kimrey of Springfield, Missouri, and Rita Smith and husband, Jeff, of Hartville; grandson, Johnathon Harmon and fiancé, Shaina Coday, of Hartville; granddaughter and grandson, Brooke and Ty Smith of Hartville; great-granddaughter, Somer Coday; niece, Janet Ellison of Mountain Grove, Missouri; and many dear friends and neighbors.
