Aleene Doris Wynn (Hartville)'s Obituary
Aleene Doris Wynn, daughter of Harry and Vada Rippee Moody, was born December 10, 1922 in Hartville, Missouri. She departed this life Thursday, October 17, 2013 in the Hartville Care Center, at the age of ninety-years, ten months, and seven days.
On May 20, 1940, Aleene was united in marriage to Harold Eugene Wynn and to this union five children were born.
Aleene was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Harold; sons Bob and Jim Wynn; grandchildren, Christi Wynn and Dawn Michelle Wynn; brothers, Jay and Joe Moody; sisters Wilma Cottengim, Sue Johns, and Glenna Holifield.
She is survived by her daughter, Jeanie Ducusin and husband Rick of Hartville, Missouri; sons, Bill Wynn and wife Beverly of Hartville, Missouri and Gerald Wynn of Licking, Missouri; daughter-in-law, Cindy Wynn of Hartville, Missouri; grandchildren, Lisa Grace, Ricky Ducusin, James Wynn, Kimberly Wynn, Timmy Wynn, Jessica House, Misti Lowery, Ryan Wynn, Robbie Wynn, Chris Wynn, Pam Lawyer, and Steve Mayab; great-grandchildren, Cory Grace, Kayla Grace, Kaitlyn Ducusin, Nathan Ducusin, Hunter Lowery, Heston Lowery, Trenton Wynn, and Mckayla Hobbs, and a great-granddaughter on the way; great-great-grandchild, Colson Hobbs; her sisters, Beverly Hensley and husband Morris, Geneva Crowder, Peggy Mayab and husband Don, and Barbara Johns; a brother, Fred Moody and wife Marilyn; a number of nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and many dear friends.
Aleene was born in Hartville and spent her entire life in the Hartville area. She helped operate the Wynn Lumber Company in her younger years and worked beside her husband on the farm.
She had accepted Christ as her Savior and was a member of the Little Creek Baptist Church.
Aleene centered her life on her family and loved to travel. She also enjoyed gardening and sitting on her front porch.
Aleene was a caring mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and accomplishments and will fondly remember the memories she has created for her family and many friends.
Memorial contributions to St. Jude Children's Hospital or American Cancer Society, may be made through the funeral home.
