Alice Fay Couch (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Alice Fay Couch, daughter of Leo and Florence Susan Truelove Winkle, was born December 1, 1958, in Lebanon, Missouri. She departed this life Thursday, November 3, 2011, in St. John’s Hospital, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of fifty-two years, eleven months, and two days.
On June 12, 1993, she was united in marriage to Jessie Dewain Couch, and they shared the last eighteen years.
Her parents preceded her in death.
Alice is survived by her husband, Jessie Dewain, of the home; a daughter, Melissa Clark, of Hartville, Missouri; three grandchildren, Destiny, Ethan, and Jaylee; two step-children, Agela Couch, of Lebanon, Missouri, and Billy Couch, of Rockaway Beach, Missouri; a number of step-grandchildren; a brother, James Rogers, of Lebanon, Missouri; four sisters, Leona Lehar, of Stockton, Missouri, Nancy Knowles and Darlene Allen, both of Niangua, Missouri, Donna Clevenger, of Bakersfield, California; several nieces and nephews; her mother-in-law, Luezene Carlson, of Lebanon, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in the Lebanon, Missouri area, and attended Lebanon R-III Schools. In addition to being a devoted homemaker to her family, she had also worked as a nurses’ aide at Christian Health Care North in Lebanon, Missouri, for several years.
She possessed a delightful sense of humor and loved to laugh. She was a very caring person who was always willing to help others. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening, growing beautiful flowers, and taking care of her dogs. Her family was very dear to her and she especially enjoyed her grandchildren.
Alice was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that she will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
