Alice Faye Bryson (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Alice Faye Bryson, age 96, of Bolivar, Missouri passed away on Monday evening, October 4, 2010 at Citizen’s Memorial Hospital in Bolivar, Missouri.
She was born April 21, 1914 in Bolivar, Missouri to Harry Marshall and Edna Frances (Gist) Marshall.
Alice married Jim H. Bryson on March 27, 1932 in Bolivar, Missouri. He preceded her in death in May 1996.
Alice was homemaker and a beautiful seamstress. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bolivar, Missouri and was active in the Bolivar Lady’s Study Club and Newborns in Need. She was a graduate of Bolivar High School.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jim H. Bryson, five brothers, James Marshall, Harry Marshall, Homer Marshall, Bob Marshall, Jack Marshall, two sisters, Grace Thomas and Mary Marshall.
Alice is survived by her two daughters, Kathy Roweton and her husband Junior of Bolivar, Missouri, Margaret Dean Ensminger of Nixa, Missouri, three grandsons, Russell Bogle of Neosho, Missouri, James Bogle of Granby, Missouri, Kane Wildforster and his wife Amy of Springfield, Missouri, three step grandsons, Brad Roweton and his wife Alisson of Bolivar, Missouri, Lance Roweton and his wife Gwen of Bolivar, Missouri, Brock Roweton and his wife Jaime of Willard, Missouri, one step granddaughter, Angie Ensminger of Nixa, Missouri, one great grandson and eight beloved step great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00am, Thursday, October 7, 2010 at the Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar, Missouri with Reverend Danny Dean Bryson officiating. Musical selections will be “Blessed Assurance” and “Amazing Grace” sung by Lance Roweton with Rose Roweton playing the piano. Burial will follow at Brighton Cemetery in Brighton, Missouri under the care and direction of the Butler Funeral Home of Bolivar. Visitation will be from held from 9:00-10:00am on Thursday prior to service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Russell Bogle, James Bogle, Kane Wildforster, Brad Roweton, Lance Roweton and Brock Roweton.
