Alice June Glover (Hartville)'s Obituary
Alice June Glover, daughter of Harold and Dora (DuBois) Glover, was born December 26, 1926. She departed this life late Monday evening, December 31, at the Marshfield Care Center, at the age of ninety-two years and five days.
June is preceded in death by her loving parents; two brothers, Norman Glover and Jack Glover
and her sister Sharon Garcia (Joseph) and a beautiful niece Lynn Garcia of Montana.
June is survived by her two brothers James Glover and his wife Debbie and Walter Glover and his wife Rose and her sister in-law Nettie (Norman). Numerous nieces, nephews, great- nieces and nephews and 5 great-great nieces and caring friends.
June was born and raised in Canton, Illinois. After she graduated high school, she attended Butler College and received her Masters of Education. June then moved to Missouri and started teaching in Salem. After a short while in Salem, she moved to Rolla to teach and then later to Elkhart, Indiana where she stayed for the majority of her career. After forty-five years of teaching, June finally retired and moved to Marshfield area where she stayed.
June was very active in National Right to Life fighting for every child’s right to live, especially the unborn child. She was also very active in her local church, always attending and helping wherever she lived.
June loved to travel. She saw much of what her United States had to offer and several foreign countries, including England where her father’s family was originally from. June was also an amazing baker and won several ribbons for her delicious Zucchini-Nut-Bread which she would make for everyone. Most importantly, June was very devoted to her church and family. June left many wonderful and humorous memories to those who were privileged to know her. She will be missed. We celebrate her wonderful life and will cherish her always.
