Alice V. Johns (Seymour) 's Obituary
Alice Virginia Johns, daughter of Fred Otto and Tilda Marenia Jones Inman was born March 9, 1934 in Sparta, Missouri and departed this life on December 13, 2014 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri at the age of eighty years, nine months, and four days.
On August 29, 1952 she was united in marriage to Edward Johns and to this union four children were born.
Alice was preceded to Heaven’s gate by her parents, Fred and Tilda; three brothers and their spouses.
She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Edward, of the home; three daughters, Janice Buchanan and husband, David of Marshfield, Missouri, Brenda Marenia Smith and husband, Randy of O’Fallon, Missouri, Angela June Kramer and husband, Paul of Seymour, Missouri; son, Gary Edward Johns and wife, Wendy of Mansfield, Missouri; twelve grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Imogene Cunningham and husband, Joe of Parachute, Colorado; a brother, Gary David Inman and wife, Neva of Grandview , Missouri; a host of nieces, nephews other family members and many friends.
Alice was the daughter of a minister and gave her life to God at a very young age and continued serving Him throughout her life.
The family moved to Seymour when she was a young girl. There she met and fell in love with her lifelong sweetheart, Edward. The two of them served their God, church and family hand-in-hand. She enjoyed caring for her family and spoiling her grandchildren, quilting and working in the church.
Alice was a loving mother and doting grandmother. Her main occupation was that of a faithful, loving wife and caring mother. We celebrate her life today in our hearts and memories.
