Alice Ritchey's Obituary
Alice Maureen Ritchey, daughter of Neil and Ila Margaret Davis Bates, was born October 30, 1936 in McCune, Kansas. She departed this life, Monday, February 12, 2007 in Lake Regional Health System, Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of seventy years, three months and thirteen days. In November of 1953 in McCune, Kansas, she was united in marriage to Mason Luther Ritchey. To this union four children were born. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister and best friend, Mary Ann Lee; a grandson, Timothy Stotler; and a nephew, David Sommer. Survivors include her husband, Mason, of the home; four children, Mark Ritchey and his wife, Doreen, of Maple Grove, Minnesota, Mary Middleton and her husband, Keith, of Camdenton, Missouri, Melinda Stotler and her husband, Timothy, of Ramsey, Minnesota, and Martin Ritchey and his wife, Paula, of Branch, Missouri; three grandchildren, Neil Box and his wife, Krystal, of Springfield, Oregon, Willie Box and his fiancé, Danielle, of Camdenton, Missouri, and Tamara Stotler and her fiancé, Steve, of Ramsey, Minnesota; a great-grandchild, Demitri Stotler; two brothers, Edward Neil Bates and his wife, JoAnna, of Anaheim, California, and Charles Ball and his wife, Judy, of Orange, California; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Maureen was raised in the McCune, Kansas area and attended school there. After her marriage to Mason, they resided in Overland Park, Kansas. In 1969 the family moved to Anaheim, California. They retired to the Branch, Missouri area in 1996. She attended Branch Assembly of God Church. In her younger years, she enjoyed bowling. Most of all, she enjoyed talking and spending time with family and friends. Maureen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and was a caring neighbor and friend. We will cherish the memories she created for her family and friends. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 17, 2007, in the Living Water Christian Center, Sunrise Beach, Missouri. Services are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton, Missouri.
