Alice Schoonover (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Alice Joan Schoonover, daughter of John and Mildred Albright Uadiski, was born November 2, 1942, in Indiana, Pennsylvania. She departed this life Wednesday, August 1, 2018, in her home, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of seventy-five years, eight months, and twenty-nine days.
On February 29, 1964, she was united in marriage to Milton W. Schoonover, and to this union two sons were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, Jack, Johnny, and Jimmy Uadiski.
Alice is survived by her husband, Milton, of the home; two sons, Bill Schoonover, and his wife, Amy, of Lebanon, Missouri, and Keith Schoonover, of Haines City, Florida; two grandchildren, Dawson Schoonover, of Florida, and Taylor Schoonover, of Lebanon, Missouri; a brother, Jesse Uadiski, of the State of Connecticut; four sisters, Shirley Kimberlin, of Lebanon, Missouri, Rosie Beck, of the State of Ohio, Mary Swansiger, of the State of Tennessee, Minnie Langworthy, of Daytona, Florida, and Nancy Dibuno, of the State of Deleware; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was raised in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York. She then lived in California and Missouri. She owned a leather shop in Taft, California for several years. She and Milton made their home in Florida for ten years, and then returned to Missouri in the mid 1990’s. In addition to being a devoted homemaker to her husband and family, she owned and operated a restaurant between Grovespring and Hartville, Missouri for a couple of years. For the last several years, she and Milton had made their home in Lebanon.
Alice had made her profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Union Mission Church.
In her spare time she enjoyed being outdoors where her favorite activity was fishing. She also liked dancing and traveling. She loved her family dearly and especially enjoyed having time with her grandchildren.
Alice was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she made for them during her lifetime.
