Allen Jarman (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Allen Ray Jarman, 85 of Raytown, MO died at 5:15am October 18, 2023, at Norterre Skilled Nursing Home, Liberty MO following a short illness.
Allen was born on June 9, 1938, to Alva and Elva Jarman. Allen graduated from Bolivar High School in 1956 where he was crowned Athletic King and his future wife, Peggy June was Queen. During his high school years, he was on the football and basketball teams. After graduating from High School, he worked for the State Highway for a short time and sold cars for Bill Roberts Chevrolet in Bolivar, MO. He then moved to Kansas City where he started work at Hallmark Cards on October 18, 1957, and retired March of 1995 with 38 years of service.
He married Peggy June Wells on Feb 2, 1963, at the First Baptist Church, Bolivar MO with the Rev. Virgil Wells officiating. His wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren were the center of his life.
Allen was saved at the age of 13 at a tent revival in Bolivar, MO. He was a pastor and longtime member at Faith Missionary Baptist Church in Grandview, MO.
He was preceded in death by his wife Peggy; his mother Elva Jarman; his father Alva Jarman; his sisters Hallie Jarman and Donna Fern Parks and his brothers Richard Jarman and Bill Jarman.
He is survived by his two sons, Greg and his wife Christine Jarman of Rayville, MO and his son Jason Jarman of Liberty, MO; four grandchildren, Elizabeth and her husband Joe Pensick of Excelsior Springs, MO, Bruce Jarman of Rayville, Penn Jarman of Liberty, MO and Aaron Jarman of Liberty, MO; three step-grandchildren, Heather, Maegan and Kristopher of Liberty, MO; four great grandchildren, Joseph Jr., Rylee and Haylee of Excelsior Springs and Bronwhyn of Rayville, MO; his brothers Elmer Dee Jarman and his wife Jerry of Kansas City, MO and Mike Jarman of Flemington, MO; his sister Ruth and her husband Don Lloyd of Springfield, MO and a host of nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
