Alma F. Harper (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Alma F. Harper, daughter of the late Wesley and Mary (Martin) Tindall, was born on October 10, 1929 in Princess Anne, VA and departed this life on March 18, 2025.
Alma was raised and attended school in Princess Anne, VA. She was united in marriage to Lynn Harper on June 7, 1947 and to this union three children were born, one of whom survives her. She served as Justice of the Peace in Chesapeake, VA for many years and was a regional manager over 38 stores for Bello’s Grocery Store. Lynn and Alma later moved to Utah where Lynn worked in the coal mines and Alma drove a coal dump truck. They moved to Buffalo, MO in 1987 and purchased a small farm. Alma opened an antique store and made monthly trips to Canton, TX to purchase new items for the store. She was always very active in Church, serving as treasurer for many years. Alma also enjoyed watching deer out the windows of her home, never missed an episode of Wheel of Fortune, and the only night she stayed up late was Saturday Night to watch Gospel Music. She read her bible daily and also enjoyed to word searches.
Alma was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Lynn; her parents; and her brother and one sister. She is survived by her daughter, Linda VanNostrand; one sister, Libby Kretzer; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren who will all truly miss her.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 22, 2025 in the Memorial Gardens of Memory Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the 2025 Stock the Shelves Campaign with the Ozarks Food Harvest of Springfield.
