Almon Carter (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Almon Carter, age 82, of Bolivar, Missouri, passed away at his home on Saturday evening, May 21, 2011 after a lengthy illness.
He was born April 11, 1929 in Halltown, Missouri to Charlie Carter and Della Cameron Carter.
Almon was owner and operator of the Carter Jewelry store in Bolivar since opening in 1984. He was a member of the Bolivar Lions Club and attended Countryside Assembly of God Church when possible.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty L. (Holland) Carter in May of 1987.
Almon is survived by three sons; Gary Carter and his wife Susan of Bolivar, Missouri, David Carter and his wife Cindy of Polk, Missouri, Randy Carter and his wife Lynn of Humansville, Missouri, three daughters; Debby Richendollar and her husband Tony of Greenfield, Missouri, Joni Carter of Branson, Missouri, Sandy Carter of Bolivar, Missouri, 17 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00am, Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at the Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar, Missouri with Reverend Gray Nordan officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Bolivar, Missouri. A visitation will be held from Noon-2:00pm Tuesday afternoon at the Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar. Pallbearers will be Gary Carter, David Carter, Randall Carter, Rick Boyd, Jeremy Boyd and Brent Howell.
