Alonzo Burgoon's Obituary
Alonzo “Lonnie” Ellsworth Burgoon, age 89, of Lowry City, Missouri, formerly of Pittsburg and Bolivar, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at Sac-Osage Hospital in Osceola, Missouri. He was born November 6, 1920 in Rantoul, Kansas to William Alonzo Burgoon and Ada (Latson) Burgoon. He was in Construction for many years and served in the United States Army during World War II. He was also a member of the American Legion. Lonnie is survived by his two sons, Randell Burgoon of Independence, Missouri, Mike Burgoon of Kansas City, Missouri and a daughter, Janet Badenna of Oak Grove, Missouri. Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00pm, Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at Crestview Memorial Gardens just East of Bolivar, Missouri with Chaplain James O. Friend officiating under the care and direction of the Butler Funeral Home of Bolivar, Missouri. Military Honors will be provided by the Fifth District Honor Guard of the American Veterans AMVETS Post #114 of Flemington, Missouri. A visitation will be from 11:30am-12:30pm on Wednesday at the Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar.
