Alvie Junior Jones (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Alvie Junior Jones August 5, 1948 was born August 5, 1948, in Springfield, Missouri to Alvie Floyd Jones and Venida Claxton Jones. He passed away early Friday morning, October 11, 2024, in Richland Care Center in Richland, Missouri. He was seventy-six years, two months and six days of age.
Alvie was raised in Lebanon, Missouri and graduated with the class of 1966 at Lebanon High School. On November 1, 1974, he was united in marriage to Virginia Bingham and they celebrated almost fifty years of love and memories together.
Following graduation, he was employed at H.D. Lee Company and was a good and faithful employee there for thirty years. Following his time there, he was with SMC Electrical Supply Company for ten years.
Alvie was a member of the Army National Guard and also raised a few cattle on his farm for several years. He also bailed hay and enjoyed being out on the farm.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvie and Venida.
He is survived by his loving wife, Virginia; and his sister, Retta Sue Weddle and her husband Paul.
Alvie was a hard worker, but in his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting for arrowheads, deer hunting, carving and creating knives, and he liked his dogs and cats he kept on the farm.
He was home body and a quiet man. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and know that his family and friends will treasure the wonderful memories he made for them.
