Amanda Carlene McBride (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Amanda Carlene McBride, daughter of John and Carla Lillard Graves, was born November 21, 1984, in Lebanon, Missouri. She departed this life Wednesday, October 16, 2019, in her home, in Strafford, Missouri, at the age of thirty-four years, ten months, and twenty-five days.
On September 20, 2008, she was united in marriage to Eric Michael McBride, and to this union two daughters were born.
Amanda is survived by her husband, Eric, of the home; two daughters, Mariah and Taylor McBride, both of the home; her mother, Carla L. Price, and her husband, Michael, of Anderson, South Carolina; her father, John Graves, of Richland, Missouri; her step-mother, Michele Swope, of Lebanon, Missouri; two brothers, John R. Graves, of Grovespring, Missouri, and Doug Graves, of Atlanta, Georgia; a sister, Rosetta Graves, of Lebanon, Missouri; a step-brother, James Dowdy, of Lebanon, Missouri; two step-sisters, Megan Henson, of Syracuse, New York, and Sara Swope, of Springfield, Missouri; a brother-in-law, Rodney McBride, and his wife, Tara; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in Lebanon, Missouri, and graduated from Lebanon High School in the Class of 2003. After she and Eric were married, they made their home in Strafford, and lovingly raised their daughters. In addition to being a devoted homemaker to her husband and family, Amanda worked for the American National Insurance Company for the last two years.
Amanda was raised in the Community Baptist Church near Lebanon. She possessed a beautiful singing voice and loved to sing.
She always saw the beauty in others and loved spending time with her family and friends. She also liked going to casinos. The light of her life was her two daughters which she loved with all of her heart.
Amanda was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and was a caring friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will hold tight to their wonderful memories of her. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed.
A memorial to the American Cancer Society has been established.
