Amanda Mundy (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Amanda was born Amanda Nicole Burgess on November 15, 1977 to Gerry Wayne and Janice Burgess in Lebanon, Missouri. She passed away suddenly on Tuesday evening, November 18, 2025 in Pulaski County, Missouri. She was forty-eight years and three days of age.
Amanda was raised in Stoutland, Missouri and graduated from Stoutland High School. On October 28, 1995, Amanda married the love of her life, Michael Mundy. To this union, two daughters and one son was born.
Amanda is preceded in death by her father, Gerry Burgess.
She is survived by her loving husband, Michael Mundy; her daughters, Kyla Parks and her husband Thomas and Yazmin Mundy, all of Lebanon, Missouri; her son, Mason Mundy of Lebanon, Missouri; her mother, Janice Burgess of Lebanon, Missouri; two sisters, Patty Staggs and her husband Cricket of Lebanon, Missouri and Julie McMillian of Springfield, Missouri; her brother, Jason Burgess and his wife Paula of Richland, Missouri; five grandchildren, Ezra, Averee, Karsynn, Everleigh and Acelynne; and many other relatives and friends.
Amanda began her working career at Dairy King in Richland. She then worked for Coca-Cola in Lebanon and later Voyager Boats in Camdenton, Missouri. For eleven years, Amanda was a supervisor for UPS. She had a strong work ethic and was a hard worker. She made many friends and acquaintances over the years and cherished her friends very much.
Amanda enjoyed having fun and loved to spend time with her friends on the river. They enjoyed floating the river together, making many wonderful memories. She also liked mowing the yard and picking blackberries. Amanda looked forward to going to the ocean on vacation and felt quite accomplished when she found a good deal at a thrift store.
She loved her family very much, especially her grandchildren. She was a big part of each one of their lives and her absence leaves a great void. May her memory serve as a guiding light, reminding us to embrace love and kindness. Her memory will live forever in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
Funeral service for Amanda Mundy will be Saturday, November 29, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service. Burial will be in Mount Rose Memorial Park Mausoleum.
A memorial to the family has been established and donations may be made at the funeral home. A fund has also been established at Heritage Bank of the Ozarks and donations may also be made there.
