Anastasia A. Scott (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Anastasia Hazel Scott, daughter of Theodore “Frank” and Anastasia Nancy Mataschak Kapuschansky, was born March 5, 1924 in Germantown, Pennsylvania. She departed this life Wednesday, April 19, 2017, in Lebanon South Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of ninety-three years, one month, and fourteen days.
Early in her life she was united in marriage to Edwin V. Scott, and to this union one daughter was born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edwin; a daughter, Patricia Scott; two brothers, Theodore and Stephen; three sisters, Julie, Anna, and Rosie; and a niece, Theresa Kapuschansky.
Anastasia is survived by a sister, Mary Utt, of Aurora, Colorado; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and many friends.
She was born in Pennsylvania and was raised in Yonkers, New York. After she and Edwin were married, they made their home in various locations while Edwin served in the military for twenty years. One of those locations was in Hawaii. Eventually, the family moved to Lebanon, Missouri and made their home. Anastasia was a devoted and hardworking homemaker to her husband and daughter, and also worked in the Post Exchange at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri for several years.
Anastasia was an active member of St. Francis DeSales Catholic Church in Lebanon. Her faith was very important to her and she was always willing to help others.
In her spare time she enjoyed crocheting, quilting, and doing other handwork projects. She also liked to play Bingo. She was a sweet lady that never met a stranger. She especially liked visiting with her friends in Lebanon South for the last few years.
Anastasia was a loving and caring sister, aunt, and was a kind and good friend to many. We celebrate her life and know that she will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
