Andrew W Cody (Mansfield)'s Obituary
Andrew Warren “Andy” Cody, son of Tony and Phyllis Geraldine Houk Combest, was born December 22, 1961 in Terre Haute, Indiana. He departed this life Friday, November 22, 2013 in Mansfield, Missouri, at the age of fifty-one years and eleven months.
Andy was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by the mother of his children, LaDonna Cody of Mountain Grove, Missouri; children, Dionna Cody, Nathan Cody, and Jerica Cody, all of Mountain Grove, Missouri, and Dustin Cody and fiancé Danica of Bradleyville, Missouri; grandchildren, MaKaida Cody, Kylie Cody, Kyndall Cody, Hayden Yarber, Hunter Yarber, Kiera Cody, and Baby Emmett due in February; a brother, Tony Combest and wife Angie of Springfield, Missouri; a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
Andy was born in Indiana and lived in various locations throughout his life, including Kansas City, Kansas, before moving to Mansfield in 1990. Andy worked as an auto parts salesman and also worked in construction for several years. He was a hard worker and could fix anything.
In 1990 Andy joined the Mansfield Fire Department and faithfully served the residents of Mansfield, as well as provided assistance to other communities in need. During his twenty-three years on the Fire Department, Andy served as Firefighter, Captain, and Assistant Chief.
Andy was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend, we celebrate his life and accomplishments and will treasure the many memories he has created for his family and friends.
