Angela (Angie) Hunter (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Angela (Angie) Marie Hunter of Lebanon, Missouri passed away in her home Monday morning, January 30, 2023. She was born April 2, 1970 in Lebanon, Missouri to Stanley Coryell and Betty Claxton Coryell. At the time of her passing, she was fifty-two years, nine months and twenty-six days.
Angie, as she was known to family and friends, grew up in the Lebanon area and attended Lebanon High School. She worked for Dr. McAllister until he retired and then went to work for the Bennett Spring Nature Center. This job fitted her perfectly as she loved nature and being outside.
Angie then had a serious illness and was unable to work for a while. After she was able to return to work, she went to work for Dollar General in a management position.
Angie was preceded in death by her grandparents, Loverna and Charley Claxton and Audra and Ethel Coryell.
She is survived by her daughter, Kirsten Hunter of Lebanon, Missouri; her son, Thomas Hunter and his wife, Chyanna of Marshfield, Missouri; her parents, Stanley and Betty Coryell of Lebanon, Missouri; her brothers, Robert Coryell and his wife, Theresa of Conway, Missouri and Richard Coryell of Lebanon, Missouri; and her two grandchildren that she adored so very much, Luna Bell and Olivier Hunter; and her many many “adopted” kids.
Angie was a very independent woman and a hard worker. She enjoyed traveling to Florida and spending time at the beach. She also volunteered at the Humane Society. One of her favorite things to do was camping, going to the river to go floating or relaxing with friends. Angie found joy in collecting river rocks and gazing at the stars in the night sky. She truly loved being outside and being in nature.
Angie was a wonderful grandmother and had so much fun with her two grandchildren, Luna and Oliver. She spoiled them every chance she got and they were the light of her life.
Her family knows she was gone too soon, but her love for them lives inside them and will help to guide them through each day.
Graveside services for Angela Hunter will be Friday, February 3, 2023 at 2 p.m. in Lebanon Cemetery. A visitation will be Thursday, February 2, 2023 from 5 - 7 p.m. at Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Lebanon.
A memorial has been established and contributions may be made through the funeral home.
