Anna C. Carson (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Mrs. Anna Caroline Carson, age 93 of Bolivar, Missouri passed away on Thursday afternoon, April 12, 2012 at Parkview Healthcare Center in Bolivar, Missouri.
She was born at the home of her parents, four miles West of Bolivar, Missouri, on April 15, 1918, the daughter of William Franklin (Frank) Reynolds and Golden Verna (Beason) Reynolds.
Anna was saved at the age of 13 and became a member of the Barren Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church, West of Bolivar. She attended Runyan Grade School and graduated from Bolivar High School. She attended Southwest Baptist College, and worked at various jobs in Bolivar before going to work in Jefferson City, Missouri. This was where she met her future husband, Carl M. Carson. They were married on June 20, 1956. He was in the United States Navy and they spent some time in the Philippines, and later at a Navy Base in California, before moving back to St. Joseph, Missouri where they retired. Anna and Carl purchased a farm Northwest of Bolivar and moved back to her hometown.
Anna was a typist and clerical worker for the Missouri Division of Family services prior to her retirement. She was also active in the Woodlawn Willing Workers Club.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Carl on January 13, 2001 and her sister, Luella (Reynolds) Anderson.
Anna is survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
