Anna B. Griffin (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Anna Belle Griffin, daughter of Cleveland Johnny and Erma Hightower Crain, was born November 3, 1927, near Grovespring, Missouri. She departed this life Monday, January 18, 2021, in Lebanon North Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of ninety-three years, two months, and fifteen days.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Marilyn Lee Stewart; two sons, Michael and Gary Rowden; two brothers, James and Jack Crain; and two sisters, Ida Rumfelt and Nadine Stone.
Anna is survived by a daughter, Janie Fritz, and her husband, Larry, of Woodstock, Minnesota; four sons, Ronnie Franklin, and his wife, Heidi, of Clovis, California, Steven Rowden, and his wife, Cathy, of Pipestone, Minnesota, Kim Griffin, and his wife, Annette, and David Griffin, all of Lebanon, Missouri; seventeen grandchildren; a number of great-great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Hazel Caudle, of Lebanon, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in the Grovespring area. She then lived most of her adult years in Lebanon, except for a few years she lived in Kansas City and Minnesota. Anna was always a devoted homemaker to her family and also worked at the H. D. Lee Company for several years.
Anna had attended Community Baptist Church, near Lebanon, where she placed her faith in God and loved their fellowship.
In her spare time she enjoyed playing Bingo, reading, playing cards, gardening and growing beautiful flowers. She also liked feeding and watching the birds. Her family was very important to her and she especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Anna was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during her ninety-three years.
Services for Anna Griffin will be Friday, Jan. 22, 2021 at 10 a.m. at Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Lebanon. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Shaddy Cemetery. A memorial has been established to Community Baptist Church and may be left at the funeral home.
