Anna Kirksey's Obituary
Mrs. Anna Marie Kirksey age 79, passed away in her home at Pleasant Hope, Missouri on Saturday, October 1, 2011.
Anna was born April 7, 1932 in Dade County to Elza and Verna (Morris) Asbell. She was saved at an early age during a revival at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Dade County.
On September 23, 1950 she and Joe Kirksey were united in marriage in Harrison, Arkansas and to this union was born three daughters.
Joe and Anna lived and worked together on a dairy farm for most of their 61 years of marriage. Anna loved being outdoors and was Joe?s constant companion and closest friend.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Leonard Asbell and two half-sisters, Alice and Margaret.
She is survived by her husband; Joe of the home, three daughters and their husbands; Karen and Randy Woodmansee, Kay and Bill Dryer all of Aldrich, MO and Peggy and Jack Barham, of Halfway, MO, 10 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren.
Services will be held at the Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar, Missouri on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. with Elder Dwayne Burdette officiating. Musical selections will be ?Amazing Grace? by Brandon Hobbs, ?Precious Memories? and ?Farther Along? by Dallas Stockdale. Burial will follow at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Aldrich, Missouri. Visitation will be Monday, October 3, 2011 from 5:00 ? 7:00 P.M. at the Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar, Missouri.
Pallbearers will be Josh Woodmansee, Travis Woodmansee, Jim Bob Dryer, Chris DeHart, Dallas Stockdale, Brandon Hobbs, Travis Painter and Alan Simpson.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the American Lung Association c/o Butler Funeral Home, 407 E. Broadway, Bolivar, MO 65613.
