Anna Jane (Martin) Ballard
Anna Jane (Martin) Ballard, daughter of Clarence and Vava Eaton Young was born December 25, 1921 near Hartville, Missouri and departed this life on April 6, 2012 in her home in Springfield, Missouri at the age of ninety years, three months and eleven days.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters; two brothers; three sons, Kenneth Henderson, Dennis Hurst and Gary Alvin Martin; grandson, Buairus “Bub” Moody; granddaughter, Lisa Hurst; two step-sons, Wayne Martin and Jerry Martin; one step-brother, Billy Palmer.
Ann is survived by her husband Harry of the home; six daughters, Mary Lloyd of Texarkana, Texas, Kay Woodman and her husband Don of Springfield, Missouri, Melba Coday of Nixa, Missouri, Wilda Taylor and her husband Ken of Springfield, Missouri, Kathy Thomas and her husband Lowell of Nixa, Missouri and Cheri McKenzie and her husband Dennis of Buffalo, Missouri; nineteen grandchildren; several great and great-great-grandchildren; three step-sisters, Bonnie, Beuanna & Barbara; several step children and step great and great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews other relatives and many friends.
She was born and raised near Hartville and attended Grovespring school. She was a homemaker and a factory laborer.
Ann had made her profession of faith in Christ at a young age and was a member of the Assembly of God and had recently re-dedicated her life.
She loved music and she played the guitar and sang with the Ridgerunners for many years. In her spare time she enjoyed singing, sewing and quilting.
Ann was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, aunt and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and will always cherish the many wonderful memories.
