Anna Neff (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Anna Neff was born in Naples, Italy on October 20, 1930 to Gelsomina Di Cristo and Antonio Pizzo. She passed away Monday, October 13, 2025 in Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri at the age of ninety-four years, eleven months and twenty-four days of age.
Anna grew up in Italy and would meet her American husband during World War II while he was stationed with the United States Army. They were married in 1958 and moved to the United States. On February 2, 1960, Anna proudly became a United States citizen.
The couple started their family while they were living in Maryland. Anna was a good mother and dedicated wife and loved her family very much.
In 1978 moved to Brookfield, Missouri and remained there until 1988 when Charles retired. They then located to the Lebanon, Missouri area to be near Fort Leonard Wood.
Anna is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Charles; her son Tony; one brother; and four sisters.
She is survived by three daughters, Bonnie Wood and her husband Eugene of Lebanon, Missouri, Rita Wastler and her husband Harold of Fairfield, Pennsylvania, and Jennifer Hartman of Nixa, Missouri; three sons, Terry Neff of Falcon, Missouri, Larry Neff of Grovespring, Missouri and Jonathan Neff and his wife Patricia of Lebanon, Missouri; thirteen grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren; her sister; and other relatives and friends.
Anna was raised in the Catholic and those beliefs and teachings remained close to her heart.
In her spare time, Anna enjoyed having a garden. She also liked to crochet and was an excellent cook. Her family meant everything to her and she loved hosting large family dinners, especially during the holidays.
We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and know that her family and friends will treasure the wonderful memories she made for them.
Funeral service for Anna Neff will be Friday, October 17, 2025 at 2 p.m. at Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be in Dutch Chapel Cemetery.
